Annual Celebration for Children’s Day

For over fifteen years, the Together Mutual Aid Centre has been systematically organising an annual celebration dedicated to Children’s Day for children facing difficult life circumstances.

For over fifteen years, the Together Mutual Aid Centre has been systematically organising an annual celebration dedicated to Children’s Day for children facing difficult life circumstances. Over time, this initiative has evolved from a one-day event into a consistent form of support that each year creates a space of joy, freedom, and safety for children.

This is not simply an event, but a comprehensive programme that combines interactive activities, creative development, and psychological support — shaping an experience where every child feels joy, acceptance, and the ability to be heard. The initiative focuses on internally displaced children, orphans, and children without parental care — those who need attention, stability, and support the most.

The programme includes interactive workshops, theatre performances, outdoor games, educational quests, and the Holi Color Festival, creating an atmosphere of freedom, play, and shared experience.

A dedicated component of the programme is Film Day for children from occupied and recently de-occupied territories of Ukraine — a space where participants explore the filmmaking process and try themselves in acting, directing, and scriptwriting.

A key element of each event is the presence of Together’s team of psychologists. Psychological support is integrated throughout all activities — through workshops, group discussions, and individual consultations. This approach ensures not only meaningful engagement, but also creates a safe environment for emotional recovery, the development of social and creative skills, and increased self-confidence.

In recent years, the initiative has reached over 3,400 children. Each participant gains not only an experience of celebration, but also a sense of belonging to a community where they are seen, heard, and valued. The format is carefully adapted to different age groups and individual needs, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for every child.

Improving living conditions

This is more than a celebration. It is a systemic initiative that, through care, attention, and meaningful interaction, helps children rebuild trust in the world, develop essential skills, and believe in their own future.
